Vapor Recovery UNITS
A VRU is a low pressure, low volume compressor. The system is composed of a scrubber, a compressor and a control system that detects pressure variations inside of oil storage tanks and turns the compressor on and off. Its main purpose is to recover vapors formed inside crude oil or condensate tanks. The vapors are sucked through a scrubber, compressed and introduced into a gas sales line or other process.
